My High School Grades
The International School Of Choueifat Dubai
The International School of Choueifat – Dubai, or ISC-Dubai, is one of the most well-known schools in the city and is part of the global SABIS® Network that started in Lebanon back in 1886. The school follows the proprietary SABIS® Educational System, a rigorous UK/US-style programme that has been refined over more than a century. This means our classes are pretty challenging and focused on subjects like English, math, and science, with lots of regular tests to make sure everyone is keeping up. The grading system is strict—the best grade you can get is 100, and you need at least 60 to pass each subject.

One thing that makes ISC-Dubai different is the Student Life Organization, where students help organize events, tutor others, and take on leadership roles. It’s not just about studying here—there are sports, clubs, and plenty of activities to get involved in. The school campus is huge, with science labs, computer labs, libraries, sports halls, pools, and playgrounds.

Overall, ISC-Dubai is known for pushing students to do their best and for helping them get into really good universities after graduation. It can be tough sometimes, but it definitely prepares you well for the future. I think it’s a great place to study and grow, both academically and personally.
Challenging myself
AP stands for Advanced Placement, which is a program run by the College Board in the United States. AP courses are college-level classes that high school students can take to challenge themselves. ​This year at my school, there were three AP courses available, and I decided to take all of them. It was a lot of work, but I wanted to push myself and get the most out of the opportunities we had at ISC-Dubai.

Challenging myself
As a 9th grade student at ISC-Dubai, I’m currently taking IGCSE courses, which stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. The IGCSE is a UK-based qualification that’s recognized all over the world. It’s definitely challenging, but it covers a lot of interesting subjects and really helps us get ready for higher-level classes like A-Levels or AP. Most of us in Grades 9 and 10 at my school take IGCSE exams, and doing well in them is really important for our transcripts and university applications later. Even though it can be stressful sometimes, I think taking IGCSEs is a good way to build a strong academic foundation.
